A roadmap towards successful partnerships

September 29, 2023 - News

The social challenges of today often force us to rethink how we have been addressing a problem or a need. Solutions of today should be sustainable, realistic and, more than ever, a joint effort and a collaboration. The roadmap that is presented here is focusing on this specific aspect – in simplifying and encouraging partnerships in order to make better use of resources, experience and human resources to achieve a more resilient society through their local communities.

“Roadmap for Establishment of Collaboration/Partnership between Municipalities and Youth Organisations/Social Enterprises” has been developed as the final stage in our LOCAL-Y-MPACT project where we combine lessons learned from previous stages of the project and deliver an action plan in form of a checklist that any organisation, municipality or any other stakeholder interested in the topic can use to easily adapt and implement to their situation and support the establishment of partnerships.

About the Roadmap

The roadmap has been created to support the establishment of new partnerships between municipalities and youth organisations and social enterprises, and includes a compilation of information, knowledge and tips gathered throughout the project. It includes a guidebook that acts as an instruction manual as well as two checklists (one for municipalities and one for organisations).

The roadmap and the checklists are divided in three main steps that essentially highlight the preparation and analysis process (Step 1), followed by the actual establishment of contact with the other party (Step 2) and then implementation and follow-up (Step 3). Every step includes checkpoints to guide the process and we recommend, for each checkpoint, to be as detailed as possible in order to get the best result based on a clear need with clear solutions.

You can find the roadmap in English here, and the Swedish translation here.
