A Baltic collaboration for a stronger social entrepreneurship ecosystem

October 27, 2021 - News

Joining our colleagues in the Baltics, SE Forum takes part in collaboration project to strengthen the ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in the region and to increase collaborations.

Funded by Nordic Council of Ministers, SE Forum joins Lithuanian Social Business Association, Social Entrepreneurship Association of Latvia and Estonian Social Enterprise Network for the project Nordic-Baltic Cooperation for Green and Inclusive Societies. The project explores collaboration in many forms and aims to ultimately provide social enterprises with increased opportunities to collaborate with other enterprises and organisations. It is also an opportunity for us to compare our ecosystems and explore opportunities for development.

Common challenges

Social entrepreneurship is increasingly popular in the Nordic-Baltic region, as organisations and companies figure out new ways to do business and to create solutions to our social and environmental challenges. Whilst comparing our various countries, we can see that although we’ve developed the social entrepreneurship field in different ways, we share similar challenges.

Our Executive Director Tove Nordström comments:

“Sharing similar challenges to explore joint opportunities in the Nordics and the Baltics is an interesting and inspiring way to find solutions to our social and environmental challenges. As support organisations, we’ve got a lot to learn from each other, and we believe we are stronger together, so we are very much enjoying creating an ecosystem that encourages collaboration”.
