Samhällsentreprenörskap Sverige

To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to find solutions to our societal challenges we believe that cross-sector collaboration is essential. We also believe that social entrepreneurship is the way forward – to create new ways of working and to develop innovative, long-lasting and sustainable solutions and methods that make the most of our resources.

For social entrepreneurship to thrive, we need to work harder to build an ecosystem and a support structure that encourages social, environmental and economically sustainable business methods and that supports entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and others who want to explore new ways of working. We are working alongside eight project partners (Ashoka Nordic, Reach for Change, Coompanion Västerbotten, Inkludera, Sopact, Impact Invest, Mikrofonden and Linköping University), and with funding from Vinnova and Postcode Foundation, to strengthen the ecosystem for social entrepreneurship and social innovation in Sweden.

SE Forum is the project coordinator for this national initiative that will be working 2021-2023 to strengthen the ecosystem, create a stronger, unified voice for the sector, explore policy development, and set the basis for a support structure that can continue driving change once the project is coming to an end in 2023.

The ambition is to build the foundation for an organisation that can bring together support organisations like us, social entrepreneurs, incubators, academics, public institutions and private companies interested in social entrepreneurship and sustainable development. We hope to gather and spread knowledge, insights, inspiration and tips, to encourage more people and organisations to find ways to work towards achieving the SDGs. A first step is a new website – Samhällsentreprenörskap Sverige, a one-stop-shop for all things social entrepreneurship – that we’re hoping can be a starting point for a digital platform that can grow organically.

This initiative is just the start and we wish to grow our network and our reach so please do get in touch if you’d like to find out more or if you’d like to contribute or take part in any way. Our Executive Director Tove Nordström is the project manager and contact person for the initiative so please reach out to her with any questions or ideas at tove.nordstrom [at] se-forum.se
