Helping vulnerable children reach their true potential through social and sports activities

Lotta Lundberg

Lotta has for many years been working to make the world a better place in various previous roles. She joined Project Playground in 2018 as she was attracted by its holistic way of looking at kids by including all the important areas around a child: having a long-term vision and breaking social exclusion. She also liked the fact that it was started by two women and that she would be able to contribute with all of her previous experience.

Lotta takes part in Care of Business Impact – our accelerator for impact entrepreneurs that we’re running together with Impact Invest.

Project Playground

Project Playground was founded in 2010 by Princess Sofia of Sweden, then Sofia Hellqvist, and Frida Vesterberg to support vulnerable children during different stages of their lives. The organisation works in South Africa where its programmes aim to educate and develop each child in a holistic way, helping the children reach their true potential through social and sports activities. During 2017, Project Playground also set up a centre in Stockholm suburb Hallonbergen to mobilise its activities to support refugee children and others living in segregated communities.
