Join online for Sweden’s biggest social innovation event

October 22, 2020 - News

It’s time for the annual Social Innovation Summit – Sweden’s biggest event for social innovation. This year anyone can join from anywhere as it will be broadcasted online. Join for a chance to jointly explore, shape and promote social innovation from a Nordic perspective.

The 6th annual Social Innovation Summit is taking place on 10-11 November. Normally, people interested in the topic gather in Malmö every year but this year because of the pandemic, the event will be all digital. The conference brings together entrepreneurs, change agents, innovators, decision-makers, investors and financiers to learn more and to be inspired. This year’s theme is ‘Crisis Driving Change’ with an aim to explore how we as a society can learn, grown and transition into a better future, together.

Discussions on collaboration

SE Forum is taking part in the event on Tuesday 10 November at 1.05-2.05 PM in a session hosted by the Swedish governmental Agency for Economic and Regional Growth. The topic is cross-sector collaborations and our Executive Director Tove Nordström will be presenting learnings from our recent report on collaborations between corporates and social enterprises. We’ll hear from social enterprise Yalla Trappan sharing its experiences on working with partners such as IKEA, and the City of Malmö and others will join a panel to discuss how we build a more sustainable society.

The two days are filled with a range of sessions on different topics exploring social innovation from various angles, and there’s a mix of sessions in English and Swedish. Find out more about the event and the different sessions here.
