About Michael & Green World Technologies

Green World Technologies
This social business involves the production of green charcoal as a source of sustainable domestic energy. The idea is to engage in the production of renewable green energy while simultaneously empowering the communities around the Lake Victoria basin to conserve the environment and the lake. Water hyacinths are currently choking Lake Victoria and if left unchecked it will destroy the livelihood opportunities for local communities that currently depend on fishing. Hence, there is a need to harvest hyacinth and use it as local raw material for the production of green charcoal. The production of green charcoal will not only improve the local environment and provide local communities with sustainable and green domestic fuel, but will also create a large number of local employment opportunities.
